About Our Products

The ornaments we sell are hand painted. We paint on high quality ornaments made by Christmas by Krebs. The scenes we paint include, cabins, alpine (Helen, GA) ornaments, lake and mountain scenes, skiers, Lighthouses, beach scenes, personalized (names among holly), Christmas birds, Baby’s First Christmas, etc.

The ornament sizes are 3 ¼ inches and 2 5/8 inches. Scenes on the smaller ornaments are select scenes only.

We use water based acrylic paint and the ornaments are then sprayed with a coating to glaze them. Most ornaments are trimmed with a glitter glaze around the scene.

We will personalize your town where your shop is located, it you desire. We will date with the year, if you wish.

The ornaments should not be exposed to extreme heat or cold. They can be cleaned by wiping them with a dry cloth. You may have some loss of glitter on the edges, but not enough to hurt, as we coat them very well.

Colors Available

Flame Red, Cranberry Velvet, Gold Velvet, Navy Velvet, Robins Egg (small only), Royal Blue Velvet, Ivy Green, Snow White (Frosty).

All ornaments are a matte finish. **We do not paint on the gloss finish ornaments***. The scene will be sprayed and will have a glossy finish.

We paint scenes on small clay pots (1 ½ in) which are then made into bells. We also do Santa Hats and angels out of 1 ½” pots which are also bells. In addition, we paint scenes on gourds, feathers (which can be framed & matted), and Magnolia leaves (which can be framed & matted). My studio is located in my home, but we do not have a retail shop. I have sold mostly wholesale to Christmas and gift shops across the US and into Canada.

About Agape Art

My name is Brenda Lynn Smith and I have been painting Christmas ornaments, gourds, clay pots (bells) and feathers close to 30 years, along with my new venture, scenes on magnolia leaves. My mother, Betty Smith, has helped me for years, by base-coating the ornaments with white circles (on which, I then paint the scenes), and by trimming all of the ornaments and bells out with glitter. She is such a great help to me in lots of other ways, including, answering the phone, taking orders, and doing all the packing to get the ornaments ready for shipping. Basically, I paint and she does everything else! I retired last December from a career in the insurance industry to devote all of my “work time” to my art work.

I began my painting career when I took 8 tole painting lessons to help my mother promote craft supplies in a retail store that we had at that time. I taught Tole for a few years and it was one of my students who asked me about painting on ornaments. I tried them and fell in love. A hobby that I enjoyed soon, with the Lord’s blessing, turned into a business. We do mostly wholesale but do retail during slower times in the retail season.
